I like the idea of making the assignment system web based and more of an open market. I dreaded talking to my detailer and the latter my placement officer because they had no idea what my goals were in life and frankly did not care. I was a number and they had a slot so even if it was a round peg in a square hole that was the slot they needed to fill that day.
