It's too bad you didn't, sir. It is a calling just like a civilian police officer with the added component that as a combat support troop one faces the same contact with the enemy as the Infantry does. I almost went aviation after my first hitch. They were going to teach me to fly helicopters and all I had to do was agree to a six-year commission. But I stayed an MP and I'm okay with that. I still did the six years and more!

So it's all your fault! LOL. Have I told the story yet of a female partner that stayed in the car one rainy night even though I bailed out to chase down a suspect - she didn't want to get her boots muddy? That was your fault, wasn't it? LOL.

On the other hand, my best partner was a female.

That was my Fathers job when He enlisted at the end of WWII. He was a night guard at the Trials in Nurnberg.
