Seems to me that if the women were 1) of legal age, 2) were not coerced (controlled by pimps, being trafficked, etc), and were 3) willingly selling sex for money, it's no one's business but theirs.
One would think all three conditions were true if this was a police operation.
The news reports said "Undercover officers placed online ads for sexual services in exchange for money." Did the ads imply the prostitutes were underage?
If not, a lot of careers went down the tube for victimless "crimes."

Careers ruined, relationships probably broken beyond repair, reputations shot to dust... all due to one dumb desicion.

I always found it interesting that Soldiers (Non Commissioned and Officers) could find ways to do wrong but could never find the Education Center, Volunteer with a Veteran Organization, or just keep out of trouble.
