One sailor on my ship started getting a tattoo, it took him the whole cruise (11 months) to complete it, started in Oakland, continued in Hawaii, Hong Kong, Yokosuka, Subic Bay, Okinawa, Hawaii, and completed in San Diego. When it was finished it completely covered his body from his neck to wrists and waist. That was in 1965, I wonder what it looks like today??? It look like he was wearing a Hawaiian shirt, with our flag and ship, an aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Coral Sea (CVA-43).

I'm getting it done this week perfect tattoo I think. It's so funny I have been out for 16 years and I am truly proud of serving my country second only to my children being born. More then my college and high school achievements I guess anyone can do high school and college but only a few serve. My problem is everyone wants to say the served during war time or saw combat I was on a LHD as a dungeon diver mm in navy rank. I never saw combat but either would anyone on my ship if the shop never had mms to get it moving. I just don't believe you have to be in combat to be proud of when and where you served. If people don't understand the importance of every job during any time war or not then they don't deserve my thoughts or time. So I'm not going to fib about combat so they like me more. You know I make fun of Jar heads and I especially make fun of the Air Force pre madonnas (dad was in the Air Force and server two tours in Vietnam I get the right to make fun of the Air Force still to this day we wake him by his toes.) as much as I make fun of them deap down I have so much pride in everyone that served especially my 6hours on 6 hours off, 24/7, never seeing daylight, and don't forget man over board drills because a jar head through his glow stick in the ocean my fellow dungeon dwellers. I hope everyone has a blessed night.
