The quoted information below is what the Fort Carson PAO just released. This is what we can communicate (for Fort Carson updates as of Saturday, 14 MAR 2020):

"To dismiss any rumors:
There are no positive cases of COVID-19 among Fort Carson's Soldiers, civilians and family members. If this status changes, we will provide an immediate update. The Fort Carson Commanding General’s top priority is protecting the Soldiers, Families and Civilians on Fort Carson and mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
The DOD’s updated force health protection guidance requires a 14-day self-quarantine upon return for DOD personnel who have traveled outside the continental U.S., and the practice of social distancing, and self-monitoring for potential symptoms of COVID-19 including taking their temperature twice a day. Personnel in this status have not been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Presently, 46 personnel, which includes Soldiers and their family members, are being restricted of movement in their homes, because of recent overseas travel or possible exposure to COVID-19. Note: these numbers are subject to change, and only capture personnel currently being monitored.
As a health protection measure and public safety precaution, the commander has elevated the health protection condition for Fort Carson and its personnel, and gate guards now wear gloves.
Events, such as religious services and large meetings, will be conducted virtually, and large gatherings will be avoided. Effective Sunday, March 15, 2020, all MWR gym facilities will be closed. Fort Carson leadership is evaluating all events with crowds greater than 50 people. Information will be provided through all venues if an event is cancelled or postponed. The CDC will remain at full capacity at this time.
We ask that all of our personnel proactively protect themselves and those around them by employing protective measures including practicing good hand washing, social distancing, avoid hand shaking, wiping down commonly-used surfaces, and taking appropriate actions if feeling sick now. These measures can dramatically decrease the risk of infection and slow the spread of COVID-19.
Lastly, the Fort Carson leadership is aware of the recent DOD policy regarding the restriction of domestic travel. Effective March 16, 2020, all DOD military personnel will stop movement. DOD civilian personnel and family members, whose transportation is government funded will also stop movement. Military members are only authorized local leave.
The local leave area and other further instructions regarding this policy, will be provided in subsequent guidance early next week.
Those already on approved leave are authorized to remain on leave status.
