Though still in therapy- Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been probably the best for my condition. I see a counselor as often as I think I need it. With a diagnosis, insurance will cover it. It helps reduce the frequency of my flashbacks and negative thoughts, and helps me to refocus on present tasks, making me more productive. This is a relative new way of treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and a number of other conditions. However, studies have been very promising. EMDR is also commonly used. Though it's been recommended for me, I haven't tried it yet. I still occasionally have issues and would like to get rid of them entirely. It would also be helpful if society were more open and accepting of mental issues. Out of all the treatments I've had so far though, Mindfulness has had a very significant impact.

Awesome! I recommend it to people all the time and they have similar responses such as yours. This has helped many that suffer with PTSD to remain grounded and calm their anxieties.
There is still a lot of ground to cover when it comes to behavioral health issues. Hopefully we can educate more people in order to eliminate some of the stigmas that are associated with it.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Best of luck!!
