Facinating tale... a mixture of history and detective work... only problem, a carny named Linn... not very credible.

It would be a miracle if the letters survived... miracles happen.

They have found other lost items. This was one of my favorites.

“Lost” old masters are always good ones... i prefer the stories of NAZI loot returned to their victims’ families.

Sgt Wayne Wood - So do I. The "Caravaggio" could be another master , but it is still about 400 years old. My favorite is the Lady in Gold which was the basis for the film.

Thanks for sharing an interesting perspective SGT (Join to see). The southwestern climate could well allow letters to be preserved much better than saw southern Louisiana.
