Want to pray? No problem. Just keep any public demonstration out of our public schools.
Pray in church. Pray at home. Pray driving down the Interstate (some could really use that). Hell, pray sitting on the can!

The funny thing is kids can and do pray in school all the time. Just about every time a test is passed out, a religious kid says a silent prayer. The problem is and always has been school sponsored prayer which is a constitutional violation.

Where does it say “forced” in the bill? Or are you pulling another BullSchiff.

Mr. Gomez, You are the one incapable of rational thought especially when it is staring you right in the face. You would not know a rational thought if it bit you. And like your sycophantic cohorts you act just like the leftist thug that you have proven to be.

LTC (Join to see) Why am I not surprised that I got voted down by Mr. Gomez for linking another one of his recent inarticulate links and calling him out for it and the hypocrisy represented.
What is even more interesting to me is that these individuals claim to be 'atheist' and 'rationalist' at the same time. How rationalism and atheism became conflated with each other, I will never understand since rationalism points to agnosticism rather than atheism. And therein lies the hypocrisy of their statements and actions.

Mr webster was voted down for his leftist sycophant remark only after he down voted me because he can apparently dish it and not take it. I let his insult go at first but then he got butthurt so I replied in kind. He is no longer worth my time.

Mr. Gomez, It is sad that you do not have an understanding of what you are trying to express. I can dish it out and take it. You have proven that you are the one that is not able to take it by blocking a direct response. So who is the one butthurt?
It is actually sad that you do not have an understanding of the philosophy that you are spouting. And then you try to hide behind the likes of the beliefs of Voltaire? And also pray tell what religion or religions are against the constitution or unconstitutional?

This excerpt from the linked article is an outright falsehood and malicious at that:
"If there are extracurricular clubs in school, they can form a Bible club. No one is stopping them. No one has ever tried to stop them."
Why is this statement from the article a lie and why is it malicious? (rhetorical question, since some do not know what one is, even if it came up to them and bit them)
We can start with "Equal Access Act of 1984 (1984)" and select SCOTUS decisions that led to the enactment of that law, "Widmar v. Vincent (1981), which guaranteed these protections on public university campuses. It was part of an ongoing effort by religious conservatives to secure a presence for religion in public schools in the wake of the Court’s decisions in Engel v. Vitale (1962) and Abington School District v. Schempp (1963), forbidding school-sponsored prayer and Bible reading."

1SG (Join to see) - Your reply is not accurate in accordance with the article. Sorry but no cigar or whoopee cushion for you.
And you are definitely avoiding making a reasonable thought out response to my statement.
