Missy Traversi Introduced as New Women's basketball Coach at West Point

West Point Athletic Director Mike Buddie introduces Missy Traversi as the new Women's Head Basketball Coach.

The native of Attleboro, MA played college basketball at University of Maine - Orono where she was the point guard on team which won three America East regular season championships. She continued to play basketball in Sweden where she also served as an assistant coach.

After serving as the coach at Dover-Sherborn High School then spent a year as an assistant coach at Harvard, then was named head coach at Attleboro, High School. In 2014 she was named the head coach at Wheelock College in Boston, then in 2016 the head coach at Adelphi University on Long Island. At Adelphi her team in 2016-17 went 27-5 and went to the NCAA Tournament and in 2019-2020 Adelphi went 27-3 and was selected for the NCAA before Covid 19 canceled the season.
