Thought I'd pass this along for us old folks who still have the blue/gray paper ID cards. They were running a month out when I made my appointment to get mine replaced.

Got the new version when I retired this year. With a 10 year expiration date.

That's interesting, you don't get an indefinite ID when you retire now?

My old school "red-color" Reserve Components of the Army ID card says --> *INDEF* for the expiration date so am good to go!
