Really? This is something the snowflakes dreamed up; I can't imagine the majority of Capital Police officers (a minority of whom would even be veterans and eligible or have we thrown that out too) would need this.

We'll base your priority group on:
Your military service history, and
Your disability rating, and
Your income level, and
Whether or not you qualify for Medicaid, and
Other benefits you may be receiving (like VA pension benefits)
We assign Veterans with service-connected disabilities the highest priority. We assign the lowest priority to Veterans who earn a higher income and who don’t have any service-connected disabilities qualifying them for disability compensation (monthly payments).

Your health care costs
We're committed to providing free health care for conditions related to military service and for Veterans with catastrophic disabilities and disability ratings of at least 50%, as well as for those who can't afford to pay for care. Learn more about how we'll determine if you'll need to pay for any part of your care.

Outside of that, there very well could have been some unique set up since it was Congress that set this one up for those at the Capitol.

Ma'am,

I usually in full-throated agreement with your posts. I have to disagree with this one.

Everyone experiences stressors differently. What one person shrugs off, another has nightmares about for the rest of their lives - and vice versa. Without experiencing the same event - in the same frame of mind and with the same formative experiences - we have no way to assess whether anyone was or should have been severely affected by any even. Application of the "snowflake" moniker is, in my opinion, uncalled for.

I agree in that I also do not believe that there will be a large need. However, using that term implies negative judgment and stigma toward those who may need or benefit from this resource.

I still have flashbacks from an objectively silly and inconsequential experience in an office setting from my first Iraq tour (and yes, I know how ridiculous that is). But I shrugged off being blown up on my third Iraq, or shot as a civilian. Different stressors, different frames of mind, different reactions.

Two mobile vet centers at a time with the fewest members of Congress having served in the military, that seems like a bit much.
