I remember doing SERE at the USAFA. A number of Cadets got wind of the location and scouted it beforehand including placing food/water stores. Back in the day their SERE program pushed if not crossed the lines of what many would call a "hazing ritual" using today's standard. Caged hole in the ground, hosing down, kicked and punched.
