Sgt Wayne Wood - Their goals in Pacific are clear. Islands and whatever it takes to lay claim on land and restrict sea passage of trade. I'm far more concerned about them and NK in that region than Russia in Europe. Actions in Europe may be more visible at first look, but Pacific is part of a long-range concerted effort. We're being told that all the 7th Fleet incidents with shipping are related to training and crew rest, but why so many in recent history? Have sea lanes suddenly become that congested in the last year or so? The loss of destroyers in the region has had an impact on anti-missile capabilities there. Running the cruiser aground was an anomaly, but after a few more it has become a trend. The UCLA guys were just stupid, but it sounds like this guy did nothing that far out of line. Takes our eyes off larger issues, and requires the use of political capital to get him back.

CWO3 (Join to see) - The joys of soft warfare. I think of it as that frenemy who 'accidentally' dumps his soda on your term paper when the class is competing for 1 of the 5 A's that will be given out.
