More teachers plan to quit as Covid stress overwhelms educators

If there's one thing this country can't afford, it's less educators.

I noticed that this talking point wasn't out there until they (teachers) were required to return back to the classroom. As a retired Soldier, now a teacher, I hear more complaints about the requirements for teachers to step up their game with regards to providing inventive differentiate strategies that are learner-centric not teacher-centric which for many takes them out of their comfort zone. Many would prefer flight vs fight, so maybe it's a good thing they are moving on.

That is really not new information if you are engaged to the educational system. On a national level new teachers stay less than 5 years as an average. Now while they watch the blatant extrusion of politics in the educating domain teachers are fed up with the tug-of-war now going on many have had enough. Mist become teachers to facilitate knowledge and learning, not indoctrination of our children. I can only hope the good ones fight through this period in time, and the rest can take flight. I absolutely believe in diversified learning as a strategy, but not at any cost.
