Most terrorist attacks in the US are committed by Americans — not foreigners

This article is a couple months old, but I thought a discussion on this would be a good one.
I know we have heard about the hoards of Islamic Terrorists infiltrating or attempting to infiltrate our great nation and I have always been quite skeptical about this.
Have you an opinion on this my fellow RP'ers?

I used the bar graph that you submitted and I used the list Hartsfield submitted to give the my response. I believe just off both of those charts I am correct in my statement.

By my math over half of all SUCCESSFUL terrorist attacks were committed by people not born in this country. So are terrorist that good that they can infiltrate our borders or are we that lazy that we don't vet anybody coming into this country. Also, how many attacks are intercepted before they happen. I would love to see those numbers. I know of three just around here that have been arrested in the last couple years.

SPC Randy Semanko It reminds me of when I was in college I had a friend from the UAE who went out and got $10,000 in credit card debt. When I told him he was going to have to pay it back he said he would just get another passport and visa and they would not even know he was back in the country. Imagine how easy it would be for a someone that had terrorist ties from a 3rd world country/
