Great comments by Secretary Mattis. However, one thing - the article uses the term "hacked" which Secretary Mattis did not say. He said "tried to muck around in" which refers to Russian attempts at influence. The word "hacked," however, implies creating fraudulent results by somehow compromising the process for tallying votes, which is NOT what Russia has been doing. That kind of implied, weasel-word ("hacked") insinuation, however, is exactly the kind of story that Russia would like to push in order to sow doubt and distrust among Americans. The author of the military.com article might not like some of the election results from this past fall, but there was no "hacking" of anything.
