Interesting turn of events in this case - charges dropped.
Ms. Hood stated she texted son who is 14 that she needed help. Her son then entered the building and then pulled gun and shot Brown in the back as he was assaulting his mother. Mother then told son to keep shooting at Brown as he tried to flee in the parking lot. Brown died. Ms. Hood has a FOID card and concealed carry license. After the shooting the two left the scene. Other pieces of information - Ms. Hood also told her son to shoot Brown's girlfriend who had encouraged Brown in the altercation. Hood and her son surrendered to police two days later.

After watching the video of Jeremy Brown punching Ms Hood, Jeremy got what he deserved. One less thug on the street. Glad the charges were dropped against her and her son.

Depends on the situation. If the guy that got shot was much large than the kid, then yes I'd call it justified. The DA said there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute, and she's a liberal that hates guns, so I'd call it a good shoot.
