As a teacher of more than 30-years, I agree with this article. Most of the behavior problems came from kids from liberal parents or single parent homes. I guess just not having role models.

I work in the foster care system. In the 3 years I have worked here, I have developed the following truism:
Many of those who are horrible at *being* parents, excel at *becoming* parents.
