From what I have read so far, it was more than state incentives, because Carrier had recieved incentives from the state and city and were being sued to return them if they moved the jobs. One article noted that Carriers parent company also had several government contracts coming up and Trump threatened to cancel them. Something the Democrats and Obama could have easily done but for some reason did not seem to care. Bill Clinton gave us NAFTA and all it has done was drain jobs away and what benefit has the U.S. really received from it.

States used to offer incentives ALL the time to keep businesses local. Government didn't care, states became more concerned with social issues, corporations moved. Now we have to start over. Under the liberal democratics, Government wanted to run everything at the federal level, they didn't know what was good for "Johnny"

Most interesting Article... Brings Up a few questions...
“Most of the people who make the kinds of equipment that Carrier sells operate outside the U.S.,” Mutz said. “The problem is they’ve got to be competitive.”
Carrier and Trump are scheduled to formally make the announcement about their deal Thursday in Indianapolis.
