Always stressing safety...coaching, training and just just plinking at paper targets.

Don't try this at home unless your child is very well trained on handling weapons!
Thanks for sharing another great weapon video LTC Thomas Tennant.
9-year old daughter running the Glock 17 & 19. I would not want to be a burglar breaking into that home.

I am not an admin, nor do I play one on TV, but I think that one could argue that anything shooting related would be relevant for 'Infantry Officers'. I think all combat Soldiers should take part in 3 Gun Competitions because you train to acquire and accurately hit targets quickly. But what do I know...

SPC(P) Jay Heenan - I am an infantry officer. I have even played one overseas. Although you may think that but if you are an officer and are gunning like that then you are not doing your job and are a bad officer. I am here to lead. If I shoot going toe to toe with bad guys I will get decisively engaged. That is a cardinal sin of leadership. I have to worry about control a 40 man platoon and not hitting a target. I should still know how to effective engage targets but there is a reason why the Army doesn't send officers to sniper school.

I didn't mean Infantry Officers actually doing this, I meant that you should want your Soldiers be able to acquire targets accurately and quickly (think clearing a building), which I think that 3 Gun Competition would be beneficial. I was (poorly obviously) trying to explain why I thought that this topic would be related to the Infantry Officer tag. It was just a thought that a leader might suggest to their Soldiers was to train to become faster and more accurate. It was not meant to get your feathers all ruffled. My apologies for not being more clear in my post.

SPC(P) Jay Heenan - Now I see what your point is. I have set up Short Range Marksmanship ranges that involved moving forward and engaging various targets. There is great value in that but 3 gun is a whole different beast.
