My life and My story is about my family in and out of service. In service, I was successful. This was because most of my leaders trained me, guided me, coached me and mentored me very well giving me enough room to take decisions, and make mistakes, so that from these mistakes I learned my lessons and grew. However, a few leaders, three exactly, never gave me space to take decisions and, yet they found mistakes in everything I did, whether what I did was in the best interest of our Command. These few leaders also found it most appropriate to reference articles of the UCMJ, even if their insults were most inappropriate. From both the great and the not so great uniformed leaders in my career, I learned the value of Teammates as a leader and how respect for Teammates earns victories in life. This lesson became most valuable in my corporate journey as well, which was a separate success story in My Life and My Story, my dear Shipmate Cyrus. Thanks for this program Brother.
