That is good news SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that director of national intelligence James Clapper has submitted his resignation IMHO. Hopefully the Secretaries of HHS and DOJ will submit their resignations as well in the coming weeks.
Hopefully James Clapper will move into permanent retirement in a relatively quiet area.

All cabinet members and other key positions submit their resignations effective at the inauguration of the new president. It's a professional tradition/courtesy so that the new president can install his own people without having to fire any of the old ones. If the new president wants to retain anyone, as sometimes happens, then they ask them to continue serving.
This has absolutely nothing to do with sabotaging Trump or anything else. It would be considered extremely bad form if these execs didn't submit their resignations. The reason the new president has transition teams (or is supposed to at least) is to get up to speed prior to the inauguration, so that the day the new president takes office his new team is already up to speed and ready to hit the ground running.

PO2 William Allen Crowder - yes he is. His resignation is effective on inauguration day.
