Can you imagine what the CO switch sounded like with thousands of these? Now imagine teaching techs and engineers that have extensive mechanical telephone system experience, but no digital? That was fun. Lots of retirements back then.

I have a crew of techs that take care of the power systems supporting all of this new technology, some of which was in place supporting the step switch, then the 1A, DMS and so on.
