Agree with premise, that other Navy's are catching up. But what are the priorities, carriers, F35s, subs, Amphibious... Is enough training being provided? Is there enough reward for staying in to leverage that training?

As fleet grows, it's a good time to be in the Navy
Adding 25,000 sailors will correspond with a spike in new opportunities for sailors.

Good topic Ken. I think we need to give this whole topic the consideration it deserves. I have always felt for high tech fields or those requiring extensive training that we should require 6 year enlistments with a significant bonus.
