Thanks PO1 Tony Holland for sharing the good news that the U.S. Navy is honoring those who were killed in the collision off the USS John S McCain in the Strait of Malacca.

I believe that is a fairly common tradition. I served with someone who died in the Gander plane crash. He was posthumously promoted to Sgt from Spec 4 and buried at Arlington.
