Sgt Wayne Wood - No good way to go, except maybe in your sleep, but trying to tread water with a busted arm, back, legs etc and no ship in sight would be tough. Human nature to hang on and then finally take a big gulp. That's why I think being out and never knowing about it would be far better. Imagine the guys on the USS Indianapolis...very bad, plus the sharks.

Sgt Wayne Wood - That too. It's often the crew on birds that don't make it, because they're taking care of business. I hear you on the AMTRAKs, Never splashed and never wanted to. Always thought about somebody leaving a plug out and it sinking like a rock.
