Good afternoon, sir. I think that a possible answer may be the need to get back to the origins of what SEALS did in their early history. The SEALS were called, if I recall correctly, UDTs who's job was to scout beaches, near shore defenses, and destroy obstacles to landing craft. If I am on track then training for these missions would be desired with the possibility of facing forces primarily located along the South China Sea areas. Just a guess.

1) I think they are getting back to what they were prior to GWOT. Operating behind enemy lines, creating as much force multiplying havoc as they can.
2) If there is any doubt about the horrible state of journalism anymore, look no further than the addition of the SC Gallagher part to the story. It was only designed to besmirch and degrade, not inform.
