Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen same here. It seems that other dismissals occurred practically as soon as the incident was reported.

No surprise there. I'm amazed it took this long. I hope the investigation will be unclassified because it should make for some interesting reading. I was surprised that the Master Chief got axed. Maybe that's to be expected. When the USS Wasp struck a sandbar on one of our floats, they relieved a bunch of folks. Seems like it was CO, XO, Navigator and some Officers of the Watch. It was her first cruise and it was the first of its class. They blamed it on old charts. It damaged the sonar and one of the shafts, causing a couple million $ in damage. USN is very big on accountability with ships and planes.

As they should be. Betting most of the investigation report will be FOUO, but in the world of safety you have to let others know what happened.
