Nearly 50,000 veterans used free emergency suicide prevention in first year of program, VA says

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has seen early success with the department's new suicide prevention program, helping nearly 50,000 veterans in the first year.

There is still more work to be done. That is why the national nonprofit SoldierStrong is proud to help the VA offer another suicide prevention resource by donating the BraveMind virtual reality system to VA medical facilities across the country to help treat veterans living with post-traumatic stress.
