Thanks. I messaged her directly on her FaceBook and Twitter wanting answers. The law is very clear on the subject so publicizing it on social media is very odd and would love to hear the rationale she and her group in Nebraska has.

Unbelievable. What are these people thinking. I am all about being a good humanitarian but I also work and pay taxes and am tired of working my butt off to pay for handouts.

Voter Registration forms with the NDP letter... And then the Chairwoman's apparent condescending and derogatory statement - “I registered individuals from Somalia and Sudan this election cycle that have recently become citizens, and this is a very new process for them. We had to sit down with them and really help them understand how to fill out their name and where to put in their birthdate because it’s just a whole new process for them than what they had in their home country,” she said.
If after 5 years and dealing with the reams of paperwork involved with the citizenship process and various employment processes, and the new citizen can not fill out the name and DOB fields, these immigrant citizens have been done a great disservice by whomever is helping them. It is also disturbing because on the surface it appears that certain 'Exceptions & Accommodations' are not being adhered to, or too many waivers are being improperly given. i.e. How many of these new citizens are meeting the 50/20 or 55/15 exception/waiver rules?
