I think you got this wrong there. "17 year old girl can allow the state to kill her" ??? She actually used her state-granted right to kill herself. There was nothing passive about it. She made the decision. How come conservatives like you bitch so much about the 'State" trying to make decisions for you about guns and health care, then turn right around 180 degrees and say this person should not have the right to make her own decisions about her life? Can you say hypocrite?

The law was created by the state and the product used to kill her is state approved. The process she went through is managed by the state and she did not administer it to herself. She was indeed put to death by the state, willingly or not. She is dead and the state enabled and supported it. She had PTSD, that is not a death sentence in civilized countries. We treat millions that have PTSD successfully every year.

The state failed her and viewed death as a better option that life with PTSD (very treatable). Just wait should that sort of law ever go into effect here. You think 22 veterans a day committing suicide is a lot. Wait until the state gets involved and legalizes it and enables it. No hypocrisy here but perhaps some very thick headedness from your seat.

I personally think that it is the right of every person to choose if, when, and where they wish their life to end. That's not a death sentence, that is freedom of choice. You don't have a choice when you are sentenced to death. She chose. Luckily she lived in a country that offers such freedom. Her mind her body her choice.
