Never Leave an Airman Behind

Well, no, it's not a fake sex scandal. It's a fake rape scandal. They made it sound like these cases were nefarious and evil. And yeah, there was a crime to be punished, but it was often a GO&D issue, not a real crime. Not a rape.

And for those out there that might say "position of authority"... yeah, that's the GO&D part. You don't sleep with someone in your direct report. That's UCMJ 101 stuff. But is it a rape? We had trainees doing it in a dumpster at BMT. I'm not saying that all cases may not have been rape... just that it's probable that sex-starved adults might be prone to get a little funky, even (and maybe sometimes, especially) with the smoky bears.

But it's still a sex scandal. Instructors should not be sleeping with trainees. Period.
