New Russian submarine tests intercontinental missile for first time

That must be one really fast bird. Clever that they disguised it as a seagoing bird.

What they don't say in this story is that they were test launching two missiles, one of which failed to fire. The Russians can replicate technology reasonably well and have technical expertise, but the atrophy in their defense industry is apparent and will take considerable investment to bring up to par.

I am sure she is quiet, I am as equally sure we have the acoustics to locate and destroy her.
