Maj Marty Hogan I think the end of the season will tell whether the Vikings gave up too much for Bradford. They will still have 8 picks in the draft including enough picks in the mid rounds that they have bargaining chips to move up if they should so choose. I don't see Shaun Hill getting us to the prize. He is a solid back up choice, for a few games, not for the entire season. I don't know if Bradford will be the answer, but I am cautiously optimistic. Of course the Vikings also are boned by their schedule facing Green Bay in Week 2, Carolina in Week 3, and Houston in week 5. This means that, presuming Hill starts against Tennessee, Bradford has two weeks to learn the offense before he will be potentially thrown to the wolves. By the end of week 5 we will know if the Vikings are going to be a contender, or taking a mulligan for the season until they get Teddy back.

Bradford's a good QB. He's not gonna win you a lot of games, but he's not gonna lose a lot of games either. He improved a lot over the latter half of last season. I wish we had kept him so we had time to let Wentz develop, but when you can get a 1st rounder for a QB of Bradford's caliber... that's a deal 35 out of 32 GMs take.
