I am not watching football this year. What a bunch of ungrateful jerks the players are. If they don't show respect to the symbol of the nation that has given them much F off. If they are concerned about police volunteer to help. I am tired of tearing down and not building up.

Ive said it before and I will say it again, the National Anthem isn't played for these NFL POSes!!! It is played for veterans and first responders as a sign of respect and courtesy for what we have done to serve this country (and to protect their over-paid butts). Speaking for myself, I would raise my hand again in a heartbeat if asked to, which is far more life-altering than asking a man to run a ball 100 yards down a field IMO. They need to get off of their self- imposed pedestal and realize who really has put their lives on the line for this country. JS

The national anthem isn't played for you, or for any other person. It is played for the nation.

@SFC (Anonymous)-I have to disagree with you on that wholeheartedly. It is played as a sign of respect and gratitude to all those who have served and protected this Nation. It is also played to show respect to our Flag.
