In order to have a reasonable discussion, you need three things:
1) the ability to speak verifiable truth
2) the ability to listen to the other side of the argument
and
3) the rationality to take be able to go above emotionality to find commonality.
But I am just a dumb engineer, what do I know...

Logic doesn’t work. Science doesn’t matter if it doesn’t support your agenda. Guns, abortion, and global warming. You either accept science as a part of the solution or you don’t.
