Baggers work for "tips only." Some of the baggers I have grown to know are sending their children through college; in school themselves; and some are just bored sitting at home. I have no problem tipping, I have numerous issues with my back, so not having to haul groceries to my car saves me half the issue of grocery shopping (I still have to carry them in--although I have offered to pay them to go home with me to carry all the stuff inside!). As far as I know, no one is forced to tip.

Wouldn't bother me any.
