One must hope for a typo. However even if it's supposed to be twice the speed of sound I wouldn't be too worried. I've flown aircraft capable of twice the speed of sound and unless Russian training has changed significantly from the Soviet days their pilots simply can't deal with the fuel management issues involved with supersonic flight. They train to follow the orders of those on the ground and if those orders are to go fast to catch something that's exactly what they'll do. They aren't trained to have the situational awareness that they'll be out of fuel by the time they get to where the target was.........ya we know they're coming and take evasive maneuvers.
