Yes, agree. As Iran moved left and became an adversary of the US when the Shaw was overthrown, the Ayatollah took charge of a military the US had supplied with (then) advanced F-14 aircraft. Trump is avoiding the same mistake because we can see the writing on the wall with respect to Turkey's future. We'd be handing the Russians a brand new F-35 to backwards engineer.

Sir, I totally forgot about the Iranian regime during the Shah of Iran timeline in the early 70s. We have to make sure we got those nuclear weapons out of those bunkers in incirlik Air Base. If they are still there. I still suspect that Iranians can get nuclear weapons right now from North Korea. They can abide by the sanctions because they can get somebody else to build the bomb for them. Pyongyang needs the money and the death wishing Iranian regime still has its goal of being able to destroy Israel and they can use North Korea to help them out. What do you think?

Well, I think what you said is absolutely plausible. Iran could technically abide by the agreement and still get the nukes they want for deterrence, intimidation, or use.

It is no accident Venezuela, Iran and North Korea are best of friends and have their intelligence people in all three countries

Russia is a conservative christian nation and let's be honest, we're proviking them, while the Turks culture conflicts with ours and is ran by a de facto tyrant. Why are we buddies with Turkey and not Russia again?

SPC Jesse Bisping - I’m curious to understand your reasoning. Do you not consider Mr. Putin to be a tyrant? Do you consider American and Russian cultures to be naturally allied? If so, you must explain, because sociologists would love to understand how.
Also, please justify your thoughts on how Russia is a conservative Christian nation. I’ve attached some statistics that indicate how Russia is, as I’ve stated, only moderately religious, at best.
Best of luck.

SGT (Join to see) I think it's also important for everyone in this thread to realize that Turkey and Russia are not growing closer as most media reports. The Russians and Turks have a long and disagreeing relationship. The not talked about Crimean war, between (began with) the Ottomans and Russians was a precursor to WWI and the chain of wars through the Cild War and to today. In 1852 the Russian Empire wanted protection rights, for lack of coorect nomenclature, of the Christian/Catholic church throughout and around the Balkan area and Black Sea, but the Ottomans denied them that power. The power struggle continues even to today as not long ago the world witnessed Turkey shoot down a Russian jet near it's southern border. As far as buying and trading with the Russians, business is business in capitalism, for example, as we all had seen Boston buying energy feom Russian State Owned Gas Prom a year or two ago. As far as culturally, 200 million Americans are of European origin. The Founding Fathers and much of the settlers religious practices fell within the sphere of Christendom. Russians are ass well Europeans, and they considered themselves i tegral in the Orthodox Church. Yes, the Bolsheviks killed millions of Christians and suppressed religion, but many citizens secretly practiced. And most importantly, today President Putin is reinvigorating the Christian faith in Russia, and unless you're living under a rock and haven't noticed, the POTUS is doing the same.

SPC Jesse Bisping - I notice you conveniently ignore real statistics about how Russians identify and practice.
Culturally, Eastern Europe and Western Europe are about as similar as Western Europe and Turkey. Failure to realize that fact indicates you aren’t well read on the cultural differences and/or haven’t spent much time in any of the regions.
Putin reinvigorating the Christian faith in Russia... political posturing that has been well documented and studied for decades. I would provided you data, but as previously evidenced, you would likely ignore it. And our President is successfully employing similar tactics.
If you would care to discuss real numbers, I’m all for it. But faulty opinions in the face of facts simply don’t stand up.
Best of luck

Seems with the changes in just who controls the Government of Turkey and their interference in their neighbors affair, agreements with Iran and Russia, purchase of Russia Military equipment should be areas for our concern. Threats to US Military people in Turkey, blaming everyone else but themselves for their own problems. Here is a failing Turkism regime pointing the finger at everyone else for their own self created problems. We should be concerned at this point on what We sell them. With friends like that Who needs enemies ? With all that behavior from existing Turkish Government We should sell them weapons they may well misuse and perhaps against even us. ? Will Turkey implode upon itself, could be, then what ? The problem is far from over.
