Why do I keep thinking about the M.A.S.H. episode w/ the old NK bomber flying over trying to destroy the tank that was parked near the unit? What was his name? 3 o'clock Charlie?

They fly slow enough that the Moving target Indicator (MTI )on search radars do not pick them up, it you turn off the MTI then you pick up vehicles on the road and assorted other things. Unlike a helicopter rotor the prop does not give a large enough signature that the MTI can use to ID the aircraft as an aircraft
