And we don't sell weapons to anyone? We've never tried to prop a questionable government have we? Seems like the pot calling the kettle black IMHO. Not to mention funding to certain groups, technological assistance to our allies when we say we are "neutral." We tend to talk out of the side of our a$$es when we bring these things up. Very much the do as I say not do as I do mentality going back for over the last century now.

Here is the problem with this argument, the US has sold weapons to every ally we ever had, some that were not...shall we say on the right side of doing the best for their people. We have overthrown legitimate governments, and propped up dictators only to go to war with them later. So who are we to say anything to anybody about weapons programs? Had we not jacked around with Ukraine and got them to give up their nuclear arsenal, they may not have a bear in the living room right now.

Yes DC could use this to pressure Pyongyang. Devil's Advocate: Pyongyang can say "well lift sanctions and lets discuss foreign trade initiatives that will help boost our economy and international status. Let the negotiations begin.
