Well maybe with Pres Trump, we will get judges who rule on the law not what they want the law to be, maybe we will get legislators who will legislate, and law rather then legislating by executive order!

This situation will remain unchanged, until those responsible for such laws are fined and jailed for deliberate violation of the Constitution, and for contempt of court for the ongoing evasion of the court's directive.

On another site, I jokingly suggested that Washington D.C. should be subject to a "three strikes rule". They too were playing the same game as Chicago, and twice had their "reformed" laws rejected as violations of the 2nd Amendment.
If it were within my power, I would tell them another failure to come up with a tolerable law would result in the NRA writing a law for them.
Actually, the Congress has the power to legislate for the District of Columbia. If the local legislative body proves incompetent to handle the matter under "home rule" principles, then it's time for a higher legislative authority to step in.
