On one hand you can see the rights point of view. Why not call something what it rly is. Radical Islamic terrorism. On the other hand you can see Obama's perspective, no matter what words you use it doesn't make a difference. They're not gonna run away scared because Obama or anyone else has used the 3 magic words. I subscribe to the latter. Who cares what you call it. It exists and no one is denying its existence. Bigotry is a double edged sword. If you want to talk about religious violence every faith has current violent extremist cells operating in the world today. Ban Muslims today and you may be banning Jews tomorrow and the wheel just keeps spinning until we have demanded all of our own personal freedoms be stripped from us for the greater good until we have gone too far to turn back.

The Federal government cannot interpret or define religious thought. If the USG says "the word Jihad as a critcal aspect of Islam means x," or "orthodox islam means xx, moderate Islam is yy, and radical Islam is zz" I would contend that the government is defining which religious thinking is acceptable and which isn't. I don't think that is a road we want to go down. Protestants, Mormons, Jesuits, Buddhists, Hindus, and probably every other sect or faith has been considered radical or extremist at one time or another. My preference is "violent extremist," but perhaps "militant extremist" might work. The simplest solution is just to call them what they are: amoral, uncivilized, retrograde, asshole terrorist sh*theads who the world would be better of without.

Thanks for your clear and reasoned response. As you can see from comments on this thread, it is a rare trait when the topic is POTUS.

CPT Ahmed Faried OK ... I'm confused. I fail to see anything in the meme I posted that says anything about Obama being the anti-Christ. I also did not say he us in the side of radical Islamic terrorists. I simply stated that it is obvious that he is not on our side.

Sir just that it is among many unproven insinuations that have dogged this man from even before he was sworn in. Par for the course is all.
