Fair winds and following seas, Capt Rosemary Bryant Mariner. Capt. Mariner was one of the first eight women selected to fly military aircraft in 1973 and became the Navy's first female jet pilot in 1974. In the early 1990s she led the successful battle to repeal the restrictions on women serving in combat aviation.

One of many combat roles well suited for females - aviator/fighter pilot. Great pioneer in military aviation.
