CPT Jack Durish, I saw that, and back during Nam era it seems like there were a lot of socialist around then. Kinda scary when you think about it. I know this. If she did run for president I would dang sure vote for the Republican who ever he was.

Thinking of that, Jack why don't you run in 2024? I mean I know that any active duty and Vets would vote for you.

Why would you wish that on me? To be fair, I feel that I have a voice as a citizen that I would lose as an elected official. Local, state, and national elected officials are pawns and I would not serve well in the role. Also, I would not ever subject my family to that abuse. I would end up in jail for smacking down assholes who would impugn me and my family simply for disagreeing with me. As a voice for my beliefs, my family is never threatened. People limit their attacks on me personally and I can deal with that. An attack on my wife or children would not end well. Finally, I'll just be happy to be alive and kicking in 2024. That's when I'll be 83!

CPT Jack Durish, it was said with a grin, I truly respect you and your opinion. It seems that if people can't get to you they will then turn on your family

I guess what I was saying was I would like someone like you to run. BTW I will be 70.

I think what I like about President Trump, is for all the faults that he has, he isn't for the most part controlled by the party. He's a business man. And as I have said many times the United States is a multi-trillion dollar business.

Cpl Scott McCarroll - Aside from these few - Washington, Lincoln, and Coolidge - there are few Presidents that I celebrate. Even then, I temper my celebration to focusing on their achievements. I learned long ago to never celebrate the person. They will always let you down at some point. I certainly do not celebrate President Trump. Indeed, he's not the sort of person I would care to spend any time with (and, to be fair, I'm sure he has no interest in spending any time with me) But I celebrate his accomplishments thus far: Keeping Hillary out of the White House, slowing, if not reversing, the growth of the bureaucracy, inspiring confidence that has led to greater economic activity, and cracking the door open to begin a dialog with North Korea. I believe that there are other achievements lurking in the background, but don't want to upset his haters any more than I already have.
