Good to hear. Straw purchases are the number one source of trafficked weapons to the hands of criminals.

Actually, Rittenhouse isn't guilty of a straw purchase - the person that bought the gun and gave it to him is (from what I just read, the person that did so was charged and plea bargained down).
He was charged initially with "Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18" (Wisconsin state code 948.60) - a Class A misdemeanor (max nine months in jail plus fine), but the judge dismissed that charge because the way the Wisconsin law is written, it says that minors are allowed "to possess shotguns and rifles as long as they’re not short-barreled".

Rittenhouse should have been charged and convicted for the "Straw Purchase" he made and admitted to"
The judge disagrees with you, the attorneys on both sides disagree with you, and the actual law you wish to apply reads clearly you are mistaken.
18 U.S. Code § 932 - Straw purchasing of firearms "Violation.—It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly purchase, or conspire to purchase, any firearm in or otherwise affecting interstate or foreign commerce for, on behalf of, or at the request or demand of any other person, knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such other person—
(1)meets the criteria of 1 or more paragraphs of section 922(d);"
The law as any reasonable person can read applies to the person that purchases the weapon, NOT the person that received it.
And it was clearly stated at trial, no other relevant charges relating to Mr Rittenhouse possessing the weapon had any legal standing.
