I am not sure why this is an issue. During the 1980’s, when I was stationed in Germany. We had it all figured out. Bridges were marked with special weight signs, so we knew which ones would hold the weight of the tanks. Routes were pre-planned, etc.
I guess Europe may have changed in the last 30+ years, but all they need to do is dig up the old plans from the Cold War. No reason to reinvent the wheel.

In the ‘80’s most (all?) of the countries in question were in the Soviet Bloc... not really an issue for us if we were in a strictly defensive posture.
In the years since they have been our nominal allies the infrastructure spending we lavished on Western Europe at the close of the Big Deuce hasn’t been forthcoming. Maybe in another 40 years or so...
