Perhaps it's the societal view of masculinity that perpetuates violence in men?
Biology? An increase in testosterone in a male or female has shown an increase in violent behavior. Of course that could be correlation and not causation.

But I pose this question: if women are as violent and merely under reported as was mentioned in one comment and if gross stereotypes about behavior are bogus then why have we placed mostly men in combat positions all over the globe for several generations?

Interesting and thought provoking read.

Ok ... why do men get the Kick in the teeth on this One...
Ok so there are 2 primary sexes... Male and Female...
I guess it Just easier to Lump the problem into a More General category to Justify the problem
