COL Lee Flemming GM, this is a great read and share for equality in the Marine Corps. This part of the read says it all: MARSOC remains committed to sustaining and improving our combat effectiveness through the systematic application of our standards,” Capt. Barry Morris said. “With clearly articulated and codified standards, MARSOC will enhance its ability to screen and select the best and most fully qualified Marines to become critical skills operators and special operations officers, increasing the overall combat readiness of our force.”

I do believe all fields should be open, but no change should be made in standards to accommodate anyone. Standards are standards. What's needed for the work hasn't changed, so why change anything that tests capabilities? Besides, lowering standards engenders resentment and disrespect, as well as lowering morale overall.
