Capt Daniel Goodman - I love the PT 109 story. First read it in 3rd grade.
One thing JFK did, intentional or neglectful, was he did not apply all three mufflers on his engines as specified when idling his boat out in the dark ocean. He was going to get hammered for losing his boat etc. But the his actions after were incredible.
